Our final day of the tour started with a trip to the birthplace of Elgar, where we were treated to a private tour and lunch. The National Trust has taken over the running of the house, so it is in a state of transition, but curator Joe took us through some of the artefacts that are currently under restoration.
Worcester Cathedral awaited us in the afternoon, for our final evensong of the tour. We again sang the Howells Gloucester service, with The three Kings by Dove as the anthem, which gave us the opportunity to revel in the ringing acoustic of this magnificent building.
