Here is the opening of the Ešenvalds Magnificat from our rehearsal last night. We’ll be singing it at our Advent 4 service on Sunday 19 December at 11am, along with Rachmaninoff’s ‘Bogoroditse Devo’, his setting of the Russian Orthodox ‘Hail Mary’. This year Advent 4 is Mary’s Sunday.
