The G major Evensong setting by Stanford features a soprano solo in the Magnificat soaring high above choir and organ, and a glorious baritone solo alternating with introspective choral phrases in the Nunc dimittis.
At our next evensong, the soprano solo will be sung by Suzanne Pederson, and the baritone solo by Andrew Turner. We once again have cause to give thanks that we have two such capable and accomplished soloists in our own ranks!
