We woke up to a windy day in Lincoln as we made our way up the hill for a cathedral tour. Our guide took us through the fascinating history of the cathedral, at one point the tallest building in the world. We were shown into the Service Chapels which have an Australian connection, commemorating the landing of Matthew Flinders in Port Lincoln. Flinders was a Lincoln local and there is a statue of him and his cat in the chapel.

After time to wander the town we headed back into the song school for a rehearsal up some very steep winding steps! We then headed into the quire for evensong rehearsal. The heating in the cathedral is currently being replaced, which made for a very chilly evensong, but the choir enjoyed singing in the fabulous acoustic.
