We’ll be singing Edgar Bainton’s wonderful ‘And I saw a new heaven’ at our Service of Remembrance, this coming Sunday 29 October at 6pm. The Service of Remembrance is a special service full of beautiful music, with the opportunity to light a candle in memory of loved ones.
The Bainton ‘And I saw’ is one of our all-time favourites. Here we are singing the ending at an earlier Service of Remembrance: https://youtu.be/VbBb-CH3v80
And there shall be no more death,
neither sorrow nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain,
for the former things are passed away.
God shall wipe away all tears,
for the former things are passed away.
(Revelations 21:4)
Who could not wish for such a time?
