Choir scholarships
Pilgrim Uniting Church has for many years supported classical voice students by providing a number of scholarships to promising young musicians. Choral scholars sing in the choir, and are often called upon for solos. If you are interested in applying for a choral scholarship, please contact us via the ‘Contact’ page.

Organ scholarships
Pilgrim also supports capable organ students by providing a bursary for the position of organ scholar. Previous organ scholars include Alexander Paine, who went on to complete a Masters at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, the renowned centre for early music studies in Basel, Switzerland. Alexander now lives and works in Switzerland, as a professional musician.

In this video, Alexander looks back at his time at Pilgrim, and what it meant for his career as a professional organist.
Performance opportunities
Pilgrim also hosts student recitals, providing valuable performance experience to Adelaide’s young musicians.
