At our traditional ANZAC Day Evensong, 6pm Monday 25 April, we will be singing the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in D by George Dyson (1883-1964) and the anthem ‘Lord, thou hast been our refuge’ by Ralph Vaughan Williams (1872-1958).
Pictured is the First World War honour roll from Pirie Street Methodist church, which merged with Stow Memorial Congregational Church in 1969 to become Union Church in the City, and eventually Pilgrim Uniting Church. Honour rolls from both churches are located in Pilgrim’s eastern porch.
At this service we remember the ANZACs and all who served their country in time of war.
