Here is a snippet from the evensong setting by William Dennis Browne (1888-1915), an English composer who was killed in the Gallipoli campaign, which we first sang for ANZAC Day Evensong last year, and will be singing again this year: https://youtu.be/7CVBo4akWS0
The anthem will be ‘They will rise’ by Jonathan Dove (b. 1959) written for the 100th anniverary of the RAF, which was commemorated in Westminster Abbey in 2018. We first sang it at our ANZAC Day Evensong in 2021, to commemorate the centenary of the RAAF.
Come along at 5pm this Friday for a service of prayer and reflection in honour of ANZAC Day.
