28 December: We sang Becky McGlade’s Missa Brevis at the Sunday Morning Eucharist, with Paul Edwards’ ‘No small wonder’ as the communion motet; and the Stanford in C setting for Evensong, with Philip Stopford’s ‘Lully, Lulla, Lullay’ as the introit, and McGlade’s ‘What child is this?’ as the anthem.

We sang Stopford’s masterful setting of ‘Lully, Lulla, Lullay’ at Sunday Evensong – on the Feast of the Holy Innocents. Here we are rehearsing the final verse, with Emily Kelsall singing the beautiful solo, soaring high above the choir.
