Evensong this Saturday 28 March, 5pm

Due to the timing of Easter this year, we won’t be singing an Evensong on the first Saturday of April. Instead we’ll be singing one on Saturday 28 March.

The service setting will be Walmisley in D minor. We sang this setting on our 2017-18 tour in Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford. Our stay in Oxford felt a little like we were visiting a fantasy world, with reminders of Middle Earth, Narnia, and Hogwarts everywhere (photos)! (Fans will know that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the release of both the first Harry Potter film and Peter Jackson’s adaptation of The Fellowship of the Ring 😊)

Sometimes we all need to escape from the world and re-connect with what’s most important: that’s what Evensong is for!
